MOOSEWOOD: DIXIE BURGERS

Necessary electronic tools for cooking session with Mary
Camera, lap top and camera (behind computer)
SIS and I decided to make Dixie Burgers from MOOSEWOOD RESTAURANT NEW CLASSICS.  Fortunately for me Moosewood has posted a copy of this recipe online.

Ingredients

Sis' Fresh Kale
Sis' chopped ingredients

Cooking the vegetables
Smashed Peas and Tofu
Combining Vegetables, Peas and Tofu
Baked Burgers
Mike's snadwich with cheese and tomato on grilled
whole wheat sour dough
My burger topped with organic
Lingonberry Sauce
I found that my burgers did not hold together well, which was not a problem for me becuase I ate mine with a fork.  I thought that perhaps my burgers were too wet from the tofu, but Sis did not use the tofu and she had the same problem.   She suggested that we could add an egg to the mix.  She decided to freeze one of hers for future reference.

The huge burgers only have 188 calories per burger with 5 grams of fiber.

I love Dr. Oz's television show and web-sites.  Recently he talked about the amazing benefits of eating Lingonberries, thus the reason that I had the sauce on hand.  It was the perfect topping for the Dixie Burger.
